Hi Erick,
Hoping all is well with you. I met you at the Dr. David Hawkins seminar. I was asking at the lecture for recommendation(s) for a hypnotist to possibly help in my quitting smoking, and would appreciate any insights you may have.
There are a couple hypnotist directories that I recommend to find a Certified Hypnotist in your area:

There are a couple hypnotist directories that I recommend to find a Certified Hypnotist in your area:
The first is a directory of 5-Path Qualified
Hypnotherapists. These are Hypnotists who have trained with
Cal Banyan. I feel that Cal is one of the best
hypnosis trainers in the United States.
Next we have a directory of Omni Hypnosis Graduates. These are Hypnotists who have trained with Gerald Kein. He trained Cal Banyan (above), so that should tell you something. Gerald Kein originally learned hypnosis from Dave Elman, one of the greatest and most effective hypnotists who ever lived. Among other things, Dave Elman was known for teaching physicians rapid hypnosis techniques they could use with their patients producing consistently beneficial results.
Finally, you can request a Hypnotist Referral from the National Guild of Hypnotists. This is the largest and most respected association of practicing hypnotists in the world.
Not all hypnotists are created equal. Get on the phone with your prospective hypnotist and talk personally about your issue. Look for someone that gives you a strong feeling of professionalism and integrity. Also, they should give you a sense of confidence that they have adequate experience working with clients that have presenting issues similar to your own.
If your issue is a medical condition, you can expect the hypnotist to request a medical referral from your physician before your first session.
Happy hunting!
